ABOUT ABOUT

This is the inaugural event of the Entrepreneur Summer Camp program hosted by Novotorium and Seed Philly.

Infonautics was a pioneer in online information. From its inception and initial distribution through dialup information services like Prodigy, Compuserve, and AOL, it made a huge transition to what became the worldwide web, and offered services like The Electric Library and Company Sleuth. The Wayne-based company that tried to find a business model for online information just as the Internet was starting to take shape in the early 90’s ultimately struggled to succeed and was sold off in pieces. Yet Infonautics left a remarkable legacy in our region. Its culture and environment spawned dozens of entrepreneurs and startups.

Join former “Infonauts” like Josh Kopelman, Lucinda Duncalfe, and Mike Krupit as they discuss what was so magical about the company and share their lessons and success stories. This story has been almost 20 years in the making and is not to be missed - a unique opportunity to meet what is perhaps the most influential startup team that formed in the Philadelphia region.
